Bass Boat Clean & Shine from Kickn BassŪ
By Jim Noah
UPS brought a small box from Scientific Bass Products (the Kickn BassŪ Folks) recently. I was surprised to find a spray bottle of Kickn BassŪ "Bass Boat Clean & Shine" and a letter from Cosmic telling me this exciting story about how "this stuff is magic! You got to give it a try and get back to me." Weve all had that line pulled on us and I didnt bite. I put the spray bottle on the shelf in the basement and forgot it.
A few weeks later I needed to polish the Blazer up and all
the wax I could find in the garage was the Kickn BassŪ"Bass Boat Clean & Shine" liquid. I was thinking "Cosmic got me on this
time". What the heck, I should have tried it anyway so Ill snap a few before
pictures and just for fun sprayed the polish on the unwashed hood just like Cosmic bragged
about doing.
I was thinking this will be a product review no one wants published and the
pictures will prove it! I had never tried to polish an unwashed surface before. The magic
stuff worked just like Cosmic said it would! The proof is in the pictures! Now I went
ahead and washed the rest of the Blazer out of pure habit and did the job
"right". The "Bass Boat Clean & Shine" provided a great looking
wax.
I did the polish job last fall before heading to Nebraska to
do a little hunting. I had planned to put some real wax on it when I got back. I still
have not gotten around to doing the real wax job. The Blazer still looks great after one
tough winter! I may never use that old fashion wax again on my vehicles.
Several have complained about how hard Kickn BassŪ scents are to get off their boats (just shows how well they sticks to your baits). I now have the perfect answer. "Bass Boat Clean & Shine" really does the trick and makes your boat look like new. I always try to keep my Ranger looking like new so I sprayed some Kickn BassŪ on the back deck so I could blame a non-boating angler if it was a pain to clean off the next day. The dried Kickn BassŪ cleaned right up and then I had to do the whole boat to make it look good. Made a believer out of me.
Ill still put on three to five coats of the best
fiberglass wax I can find prior to the start of the season to protect my boat. Im
going to carry a bottle of Kickn BassŪ "Bass Boat Clean & Shine" in
the Ranger to touch up the messes we all make. Works great for those times we have to get
on dirt roads too.

Cosmic,
This year I am running my first mostly white bass boat. In the past, I
would just wet a towel with lake/river water and wipe the mudline and waterspots
off, and clean/wax my boat at home every once in a while.
Obviously with white, you can't really do this and have a clean looking rig. I
bought some of your bass boat cleaner at GreenTop Sporting Goods in Richmond,
VA, and couldn't be more pleased. Not only does it to a good job at
getting mud, dried grass, fish blood spots, etc. off the boat, but it gets rid
of that "off-white" haze that white boats seem to get from dingy
water. My Skeeter looked so good that I had 2 different people come up to
me while I was cleaning it this weekend at the Rally@Potomac, asking what type
of cleaner I was using. Thanks!
OK, here's my question. The bottle says something about a Carnuba wax
shine, but does this cleaner actually have wax in it, or do you recommend using
regular wax in conjunction with your product?
Thanks again,
Darren C. Kern

Answer:
Great e mail, thanks Hydrilla. Yes believe it or not the Bass Boat Clean
and Shine (or as we call it BBC) does have real carnauba wax in it. It was
hard getting the wax into the formula and getting the whole thing to be stable
in hot and cold, but we did it. Every time you use BBC you are laying down
a nice layer of wax. The more you use it the more you take care of your
boat. You pull off all that hard water deposits, clean off any oil slick
lines and aid in getting off the chalk. It is really a great cleaner. I
have women that us it in the house as a bathroom cleaner and they love it for
Chrome and showers and sinks etc. The more you use it the better you are taking
care of the boat. So yes to
all your questions. I keep two bottles and two towels in my Skeeter and as soon
as I pull up on the ramp I throw a towel and a bottle to my partner and we go
from stern to bow in about 2 minutes. That is it. I took love the stuff.
Glad to have a good product out their. Ha-ha. Take care.

Wiping down the boat
Many bass fishermen have a bass boat in which we have a fortune tied up.
We wipe and wax our boats trying to keep it looking like new.
Well I have to tell you that I was one who used my boat like a tool and didn't
take very good care of it. After 11 years the engine blew up so I
purchased a new boat but this time I decided to really take care of it.
After several trips and wiping it down with all different types of things
(water and vinegar, Mean Green, or 409), I always had water spots especially
on the motor. One day I was given a sample of Kick'n Bass Boat Clean
& Shine, which I shoved into one of my boat lockers and promptly forgot
about it. One hot day, I was wiping my boat down and as usual I couldn't
get the water spots off. I continued to spray and wipe but the hot day was
drying up the liquid as fast as I could put it on. Then I remember the
Kick'n Bass sample bottle and as a last resort I decided to try it. I
couldn't believe how it took all the water spots off and also left a wax
(Carnauba) layer on the boat. I've recommended it to many of my
customers and they all have good reports on how well it works.
I carry two bottles so when I pull the boat out, I give one to my non-boater
and use one myself so we can get the job done quickly and head home.

BUT here it goes, I received the package today, it was late afternoon before I

time to do the outer and the truck, BUT I will do that another day!! I am so
pleased with the boat cleaner, I would like to ask you to please include a CASE
of this stuff with my name on it and let me know how much I need to pay you at
Neely Henry tues. night.
